2014 - Another year with memories :)

Here it is last day of 2014. One more year passed so quickly in flash. I wonder how time flies so quickly. Let me share some of the most memorable moments from 2014! well there's lot of pics as I click lot but let me share only few.

First few months it was about college, the festivals , trip with friends,the final exams and it still makes me nostalgic. I want to thank all my friends and teachers for everything!

I started to blog :)

I had to move to Bangalore. I Had fun coding in Java and making Webapps! There's so many memories to say about Bangalore. Met my brother, attended festivals, met my favourite author twice ! celebrated festivals, it goes on!  I did few sketches too !

I learnt lessons for life and made friends for life. So many upsides and downs. Its been wild ride! Thank you for all the people who stayed with me along this journey.

Dream come true moment once again!

It was 13^th Dec 2014  , It was once again a dream come true moment for me. I had big day ahead. I was going to meet my favourite author Preeti Shenoy again!! I had got invitation for the book launch of “It Happens For A Reason”. I couldn’t be more happier. I was in my home and I had to catch train to Bangalore the same day early morning. Previous day I had planned a surprise , I thought of gifting the sketch I made to Preeti ma’m. I wanted it to be framed. I had to roam 2 to 3 shops to get it done and finally got it by 10pm. The journey to Bangalore was good. I read few chapters of novel called “Insurgent” by Veronica Roth and later Taylor Swift’s album 1989 was on repeat in my mobile. I plugged in earphones and enjoyed the songs while the train was zooming towards Bangalore with top speed amid green trees, blue sky and along the farm . I finally reached my PG by 1pm and after lunch I thought of having a nap but I forgot to turn on alarm. I gotup with a big shock around 4.40 while my plan was to leave the place by  4 to reach the venue where the book launch is going to be conducted. The venue was “Royal Orchid”.  I got 3 novels which I had to get signed and the sketch and raced towards bus stop. I met some guy in bus who was kind enough to inform me the bus which I had to take from Majestic. I got into the bus which was supposed to go near Royal Orchid and I was just keeping track of where I’m In the map I had. It was exact 6.30 by the time I reached the venue . The street where it was kinda spooky with no vechiles . The street lights were completely off ,while the street which joined this one was full of vehicles and was difficult to cross

Once I reached the venue ,  I saw a big Christmas tree , it was beautiful. There were so many people at reception especially foreigners. I enquired at reception and finally made it to the hall where the book launch was about to happen. I was alone this time.  Still I searched for known faces, but there were none. Not even ma’m and her husband Satish sir was there. I just stood there waiting while a lady came and told it’l be a  while and doors will be opened and thanked us for making it to book launch. While I was lost in thoughts I hear a girl little elder than me call my name. I was surprised she knew me and she even knew me birthday which happened to be few days ago and wished me. For a moment I was wondering if it was angel who came to rescue as I was alone this time. Few min’s later I get to know she is distant relative(sister) of mine. It made me even more happy !! I love them.   I show her the sketch I made and she said preeti’s  gonna love it! I really wish she did. Then I happen to meet Prats Rajesh who is wife of famous Kannada music director Rajesh Ramanthan. I was happy again ! I donno how should I say this .       Book launch - chairman of hotel,Preeti Shenoy,Shinie Antony

Finally the doors to the Autumn Hall where the launch was opened and me and my sister entered first as we were next to doors waiting. I say I’m first ! I was  so excited. We reach the first row and just sit watching the trailer of the book which was being played  on projector. For some reason it was even fun to watch that !  After few min’s everyone gather and the hall Is full of people who is eagerly waiting for launch. The hostess welcomes us and calls chairman of the hotel, Preeti ma’m and Shinie Antony who is also a writer, on stage and my happiness knew no bound. Preeti ma’m was looking so gorgeous in blue dress ! It was like dream!!! Within next few mins the book was launched and Shinie ma’m asked few questions about the book and Preeti ma’m answered it. Preeti ma’m read few lines from the novel. After while we were supposed to ask questions . Initially people were silent and then hands started rising. It was fun. One girl said she followed the pattern of using color pen for assignments as mentioned by Preeti in her 2^nd novel and she got good grades for that! Even I asked one and my sister got a chance to ask little later. The question answer was more like I knew already as I follow all the interviews of Preeti. I was wondering why the chapter names were not there in the novel while 3^rd novel had so beautiful names which were actually songs. I loved those names actually. I got a reply that as it was song names she named it in 3^rd book and in rest of novel it dint matter coming with names.  I still donno why I asked it actually. Maybe I was more excited and confused. Later I get all the books signed . Preeti ma’m was so humble that she signed the books and returned it. As I was about to get she made sure she has written my name. She wrote “ Dear Sachin “ for each one and  returned it. Now I was on cloud9. I take the sketch from my bag and gift it to ma’m . It was birthday present from me with lots of love. It made her happy I guess she smiled and said wow and thanked me four times. I was still not sure if it’s a dream or real one!   Of course it was real. Here are some of the pictures which I love.

F.R.I.E.N.D.S

Each one of us have friends , some stay for while and some stay no matter what with us and be a part of happiness and grief. Today I want to share my experience about a TV show which I'm in love with. One day I went to one of my Friend and borrowed the TV series called FRIENDS. The name caught my attention. It's about 10 seasons and I got about 8 with season 4 and 5 missing. I decided that I wont watch till I get all the seasons. It happens to be 2 years while I borrowed those missing seasons and I started watching it. I remember it was somewhere in 2nd week of July I started watching and I never enjoyed any TV show like this before !  

Each episode of FRIENDS starts with a song called "I'll be there for you " and it suits the title exactly. Its a comedy series about 6 friends who live in New York , in the struggle to find happiness and success. 

The characters are 

Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston) 

Monica Geller (Courteney Cox)

Phoebe Buffay(Lisa Kudrow) 

Joey Tribbiani(Matt LeBlanc)

Chandler Bing(Matthew Perry)

Ross Geller(David Schwimmer). 

Rachel Green a popular schoolgirl in past, who is rich and spoiled loves to spend money by her Dad, who escapes her marriage and runs into her old best friend Monica in a coffee shop where she meets rest 5 people who she'l be friends with. Monica is sister of Ross Geller and she is a compulsive neat freak, one who was fat in college who almost ate everything ,being teased in college and she is chef at a top-restaurant in Manhatten. Ross Geller , elder brother of Monica, is paleontologist who is kind, honest ,smart ,sweet guy who had feelings for Rachel in College. Chandler is roomate of Ross in college days , financially secure data professor , is funny , smart and is afraid of getting into relationships and a cigaratte addict. Phoebe is brought up as a fearless child and she is a lovable hippy , ditzy , loves to play guitar with her famous song "Smelly Cat", and works as a massesue. Joey is budding actor who lives with Chandler ,who eats lot and never shares his food, always gets the girls by his catchy line "How you doing?" , who wants to be successful actor.

It was always fun to watch all these 6 people and literally they made me cry and laugh . There's so much to learn from them. Each one of them is good from heart , lovable ,kind  obviously funny. Each episode of 10 seasons was so fun and I never knew how time went. Even though all characters are fun ,its fun to watch how Joey and Chandler.You cant stop laughing !! They are the best. There are other characters too in the TV series which come as the story moves forward and lots of twist and turns .

These 6 people hold on together and meet at Central Perk each day for Coffee and begin their day with friends and go to work and meetup later and have fun . 10 seasons , 10 years (1994 - 2004) and its 2014 now  and it still makes each one who watches laugh! For a TV show to go for 10 years non stop with huge fan following is a big thing! I would like to Thank each one for making this show and entertaining . I'm sure this show can make further generations to laugh . Wish they had a re-union !

Trust

Nidhi , 10 year young girl once was so upset one day, she just comes home from school and sits on her bed with  sad face.

 Her mother gets it when she comes with plate of delicious food and asks what's wrong, for which Nidhi replies "I can't sing mom , some people in class teased me". Mother smiles and says "You must be happy you tried, you just cant give up as people laughed, You must believe in yourself , Trust is the key Nidhi. Trust yourself".

Nidhi keeps the words told by mom in her mind and keeps practicing.

The day for performance again had arrived and Nidhi knew she could do it this time and sings extremely well and gives mesmerizing performance. 

The people who laughed at Nidhi were struck with awe and nothing could stop Nidhi.

Here it is again the festival of light

Where people decorate their home by 

Lamps made of vivid colors and shapes 

Which brings not only light 

But brings people together

Which makes the entire city shine 

Once the sun sets and darkness covers

Keeping away people from demons and negativity

Here it is again the festival of light

Which showers ray of hope within people

Encouraging to get best out of life

And spend each second of our lives

Do u remember the walk by seashore

Under the colorful sky

As the sun set after a long busy day

After we had fun in cold and salty sea.

Forgetting world around us 

Mesmerized in the world of two

Our own world which we cherish being.

A Dream come True !! My Visit to Bangalore Literature Fest 2014

Have you ever made a wishlist and wondered if it'd come true? Have you ever thought in your wildest dreams that you'd get a chance to meet a person whom you follow lot? Have you ever traveled alone to an unknown place with lot of hopes and dreams? 

My answer is yes,  28th Sep 2014, I had been to Bangalore Literature Fest after doing last minute decisions even though i had planned before month i was not sure i'd be attending this as i had a project to complete. This was literally like an adventure for me!! Just like the Hobbit, Bilbo  who leaves the bag end and comes out of his comfort zone and goes on an adventure to Lonely Mountain, I had been to fest with lot of hopes and expectations of meeting my favorite author Preeti Shenoy, One among the great celebrities in India and one among so down to earth person I know !!  and my blogger friends Gayu di and Jayanth whom I met in Facebook. ( Facebook does help in getting good friends for life! ) 

I was sleepless previous night as I had made the decision to go to fest and was awake till 3 coz of excitement ! My heart said just go and attend the fest coz of 2 equally important  reasons. 

1. That i'd be meeting friends whom I probably donno when again i'l meet.

2. Meeting my fav author! 

So I got to hear my mobile ringing morning and i saw the time it was 9am !! I was running late out of time ! I got ready in half an hour and had breakfast and reached Majestic after so many odds which I had to face! To speak about odds I din get proper food in pg and when i went to hotel I got the food late and when I ran to get the bus I got into a wrong one and eventually made it to Majestic !! I made it to Volvo bus which i like lot and with lot of excitement and thinking if I could make it before 11 am . I thought i'd be getting up early which I dint and thought it would be late now. But the Volvo went so fast in the busy traffic on Sunday morning that I made it on time! It was so sunny I could feel happiness in air ! I couldn't believe I was on an adventure on my dream was about to come true. 

Once I reached the venue I called Jay and I was so happy when I heard him on phone and later met him in person. The Venue Crown Plaza , Electronic City was so peaceful and was like a park. We both went to the  place where Preeti Shenoy and few more authors were about to speak on Love and relationships. Once I reached I met Gayu di and her friend Prema !! I felt even more happy !! Next I met Satish sir !! Preeti ma'ms husband and I was stunned for a moment and I couldn't believe this was happening !! I shook hand and then we all sat in 2nd row with Satish sir on 1st row. I was wondering when will Preeti ma'm come and I saw actress Tisca Chopra on stage! I was like OMG!! after few seconds I turned my attention to left side of stage and i saw lady with long hairs and in pink dress and in astonishment I realize its Preeti Shenoy my Favourite Author!!!!! My heartbeat rised and I was on cloud9 !! I couldn't believe my eyes! I couldn't stop smiling !! All of us enjoyed the session and got to hear so many views about love and relationship.

'Live life to the fullest' says Preeti ma'm and I just make a mental note of it. Once the panal discussion was over ma'm gets down from stage and goes to left side of stage and we people go and stand next to her with lot of excitement !! For my badluck I forgot to get a notepad to get autograph!! Ma'm enquired was there any trouble reaching the place and shook hands . I still couldn't believe this was happening !! It was like a dream!! Gayu di asks for group pic for which ma'm agrees and later we get individual pics with ma'm. And later I requested for an autograph for which ma'm agreed and I got a Gayu di was kind enough for getting a diary. Finally my wishlist was coming true ! I told ma'm it was dream come true as she signed and it was in my secret wishlist for she smiled and my heart skipped a beat !! Later each of my friends got autograph and then ma'm preeti m'am n satish sir left and we were smiling as it was dream come true moment for us!

We attended even more panal discussions later which was hilarious and even more interesting . I saw Padmashri Girish Karnad and heard him speak. It was awesome! Later we had lunch and got hold of juice in scroaching heat even though it was so lushy with trees. We spend some time speaking and enjoyed lot till evening which i can go on writing even more and eventually bid farewell. Gayu di was kind enough to get an autograph with a message! I felt so touched when gayu di hugged me . I felt like I was spending time with my cousins ! I thought I made right decision listening to my heart and came to meet Jay and di since i knew it was not possible anytime soon again!
